Brownedge made school history recently as it proudly hosted the South Ribble Dance & Cheer Competition for the very first time. The event brought together talented performers from across the region, transforming the school into a vibrant hub of energy, teamwork, and creativity.

The atmosphere was electric from the moment teams arrived, with pupils showcasing months of hard work through polished routines, impressive choreography, and an infectious sense of enthusiasm. Staff and spectators alike praised the professionalism and confidence on display.

For our school, the event marked another milestone in an area of sport where we continue to make remarkable progress. Dance and cheer have become increasingly popular among pupils, with participation rising and performance quality reaching new heights. The competition offered the perfect platform for our teams to demonstrate their dedication—and they did not disappoint. A number of our pupils earned winners’ awards across various categories, reflecting both their talent and commitment.

The success of the event has sparked excitement for future competitions, with many already looking forward to building on this year’s accomplishments. Hosting the competition for the first time has not only showcased the school’s facilities and organisational strengths but also highlighted the passion and potential of our young performers.

A huge well done to all pupils who took part—you represented the school brilliantly and made us incredibly proud.
