The Brownedge family has once again demonstrated its generosity and community spirit, raising an impressive £1604.33 for St. Catherine’s Hospice through a series of festive fundraising events held throughout the Christmas season.
The total is the result of several much‑loved activities, including the school’s bustling Christmas Market and the ever‑popular Santa Dash. From handmade crafts and festive treats to sponsored runs in Santa hats, the events created a joyful atmosphere while raising vital funds for a cause close to many hearts.
Staff praised pupils for their enthusiasm and commitment, noting that the success of the fundraising efforts reflects their hard work and willingness to give back. The wider Brownedge community also played a crucial role, turning out in large numbers to support the events, make donations, and help ensure the fundraising total reached such an impressive figure.
The money raised will now be donated to St. Catherine’s Hospice, where it will support the charity’s invaluable work providing compassionate care to individuals and families across the region. Representatives from the hospice have expressed their gratitude in the past for the school’s ongoing support, and this year’s contribution will make a meaningful difference to those who rely on their services.
The school extended a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved—pupils, staff, families, and community members—whose generosity and festive spirit made this achievement possible.
