Our Year 9 netball team took to the court in a spirited contest against Penwortham Girls, delivering a performance that was rich in teamwork, resilience, and pride. While the final score didn’t reflect the effort poured into the game, the match was a showcase of the team’s growing strength and determination.
From the first whistle, our players demonstrated sharp communication and tactical awareness, working cohesively to challenge a well-drilled Penwortham side. The match was fast-paced and competitive, with both teams pushing hard and showing impressive skill throughout. Despite the result not going in our favour, the girls held their heads high and played with heart until the very end.
A standout figure in the match was team captain Emily, whose leadership on and off the court was nothing short of inspiring. Her strategic play, calm under pressure, and encouragement of teammates earned her the title of Player of the Match — a recognition given by the opposing team in appreciation of her outstanding performance.
As the team looks ahead to their next game, they do so with renewed confidence and a strong foundation of unity. With continued hard work and belief, there’s no doubt they’ll come back stronger and more determined than ever.
Well done to our Year 9 netball team — your effort, sportsmanship, and school spirit make us incredibly proud. Keep pushing forward!
