“The ashes mean I’m a sinner, the shape of the cross means I have a saviour” – Fr Mike Schmitz. On Ash Wednesday, our whole school marked the beginning of Lent with a prayerful service at St Mary’s church.
Our students read from scripture and distributed Ashes to each member of our school community. The beautiful service reminded us of the importance of turning back to God and believing the good news.
