Last Wednesday, the Church entered into the season of Lent, which marks the 40 days of journeying towards Easter. Lent is a season in which we are called to pray, fast and give alms. In prayer, we get to know who God is and how he cares for us. In fasting, we give something up in order to make room for what really matters. And in almsgiving, we give what we can to those who are in need.
We marked the beginning of our journey through this beautiful season, as one school community, through the celebration of our Lent Liturgy. Each form joined together virtually for a time of collective worship. We took part in various prayers led by our Chaplaincy GIFT Team students, a preach and song from Fr. Mark Harold and a reflection from our Lay Chaplain, Rachael. You can watch our Lent Liturgy by clicking here!
