Transition to Brownedge
Welcome to Brownedge St Mary's
Nothing delights me more than welcoming our new Year 7s into our family at Brownedge St Mary's. To gain an insight into our fantastic school, please have a look through our transition pages where you can meet our staff and pupils to give you a taster as to what life at Brownedge is like. You can have a virtual look around school to get a feel of our surroundings and facilities and watch videos from the different subjects we offer at school. There are also videos from myself, Mrs Godbold (Assistant Headteacher in charge of Year 7) and our Heads of House giving our new pupils a little more of an insight into life in our fabulous school community and what makes us unique; our Gospel values-driven education that our pupils experience and our school ethos.
Those of you who know us will appreciate that the feel of a school – its atmosphere, relationships and values – are so important for a successful high school like ours. We believe, even in these challenging times, you want to come and see us for yourself. For this reason, we are holding our Open Evening in person this year, whilst ensuring we can keep our community as safe as possible. Come and see for yourself what makes Brownedge St Mary’s the exceptional choice for providing a value-based education that will last a lifetime.
Primary pupils and their parents can visit school for my Headteacher’s talk and guided tour on Thursday 30th September from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

The best people to tell you about our school family is our pupils themselves. Without them we are not a school, merely a building with no soul. They are the ones that make it come alive and we know this to be the case so recently.
Ordinarily, our new Year 7 and more experienced Year 11 pupils would take you on a guided tour during our Open Evening event. Sadly, this could not be the case this year. However, it is important that we share their thoughts, opinions and experiences with you today.
We are very proud to introduce our most Senior Prefects - Stephanie Ramsden - Head Girl and Ben Lang - Head Boy
